MEC GENERATORS specialises in the production of generator sets.
MEC GENERATORS was born from specialised generator sets manufacture experience. As time went by, we stopped building electric pumps and alternators and dedicated our full attention to generator sets.
The peculiarity that distinguishes us is the continuous and inexorable search for perfection both from the technical point of view and from the aesthetic point of view of our enclosures. We have soundproofed entire rooms containing large generators, managing to have a noise level of 52 dB(A) at 7 m. In the 70's we produced generators in Saudi Arabia capable of self-feeding with an automatic topping up system and resistant to sandstorms through special filters and mobile bulkheads. Countless special applications such as light towers, twin-voltage groups on trucks, mobile energy stations for travelling shows (e.g. circuses such as Orfei, Togni, Embell Riva, etc.), cogeneration and tricogeneration plants. Machines are tailored to the environmental conditions of destination.
We have a production facility that covers an area of 19,000 square meters distributed as follows:
* manufacturing building, divided into three sectors with three overhead cranes of 12 t each: covering an area of 6,000 square meters
* repair shops and general services of 1,100 sq. m.
* management, technical, administrative and commercial offices of 1,000 square meters
* professional training centre 600 sq. m.
* guest quarters and canteen 460 sq. m.
* service lodging 140 sq. m.
* loading and unloading yards 8,200 sq. m.
In the course of many years of experience, we have acquired clients such as the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, General Command of the Carabinieri Corps, State Railways, Asst (the state company for telephone services), Telecom s.p.a. (formerly Sip), Sirti s.p.a., Sarteco Ltd, Snam progetti, Acea Roma, Aia Roma, Cassa per il Mezzogiorno, hospitals, banks and many others.
