Blasting with explosive charges is very much in demand for earthworks in the presence of rocks, and the regulations require that they are carried out by authorized personnel with a blasting license, which Apian performs.

A sector which is well-known to Apian is that of the demolition of rocks or parts of rocks carried out by means of mines and explosives.
This is a controlled demolition technique with explosives, capable of deflagrating natural stone, as an alternative to percussion demolition (noisier and with more vibrations).

The cooperative operates with non-detonating explosive charges, chemical compounds enclosed in a cartridge that reacts quickly when triggered. These charges are placed into strategic holes which are first made in the rocks.
A remote electronic detonator is used to ignite the charges, producing a considerable volume of non-hazardous gases (mainly nitrogen and carbon dioxide). The deflagration produces material that is removed with an excavator.
